The Material Bank had the opportunity to participate in GS24 during Dutch Design Week 2024 at Microstad.
We were responsible for furnishing and curating a space to welcome other collaborative projects, such as Elevator Radio, Sound Design Lab, and DAELectures Series.
Made possible thanks to: Pete Fung
Programing team also included:
Karolina Borucka and Matilde Bovo
Exhibited at:
Microstad, Eindhoven, Netherlands
Graduation Show Eindhoven, Netherlands
Our goal was to highlight the diverse work created by students using our infrastructure.
Additionally, throughout the week, we welcomed Het Kloosterbos, a permaculture garden community based in Eindhoven, to discuss the notion of "making community," which was broadcasted by Elevator Radio.
The collective FURR (Rosa Hanssen and Lara van der Poele) hosted a rapid writing workshop, posing the question: "What would you do with a blank canvas?" This event responded to the devastating news of the disappearance of the Stroomhuis building, the heart of a vibrant creative and alternative scene in Eindhoven.(image1)
